[WHAT THE FUCK, HIGEKIRI. HOW MANY...? Nevermind. He doesn't have time to unpack all of that right now, they have arrived at their destination.]

No... I thought about asking Kanesada-san, but I haven't yet...

All three of them went into a locked room the day after I did. They saw visions of people being killed, and their injuries mirror that of what they witnessed.

They also received a note that stated something about how others wanted to go to the other side of the ruins - so perhaps something like the ones that appear on the horizon.

[For now, he will release his brother's hand so that they can purchase or look at things at their leisure from the gift shop. But he seems surprised by the news.]

The ruins...? Junpei-san said recently he wondered how to reach them. I didn't know how, but... more appear when others leave us, so I told him we have to die.

Is there something on the other side...? Our friends?

[he's just going to grab a bunch of random stuff - the mp3 player he's been eyeing for a bit, but also he's going to grab the mystery bottle of lube and a ball gag]

[Curiously, he watches his brother snag very random things, but he doesn't at all question it. When asked, he nods his head eagerly. He'll try anything with his anija? Anything.

But then both hands come up quickly in surrender.]

he looks happy to be praised anyway - and will instead just lean over to press a kiss to hizamaru's cheek]

[UGH. Sufficiently teased... His face turns red at the edges when Higekiri plants one on his cheek.]

Mm-mm. That's all I've seen or heard, elder brother.

[higekiri pauses, humming thoughtfully]

... do you think you'd be able to keep a secret from me?

[For a moment, he actually gives it some thought, and then he shakes his head.]

I tried, but... I didn't feel very good keeping it from you. It felt... strange here. [He touches his chest.] Like I had done something wrong.

I think I will always want to share things with you, elder brother.

higekiri blinks at that for a few moments - before nodding and then letting a hand come up to his brother's face]

And if there would be dangerous consequences, should you tell me something you weren't supposed to?

[Gently, he frowns.] If you would be hurt, I would have to keep it, elder brother, but... [He shakes his head, though not enough to jar the hand away.]

I would find a way to let you know without telling.

[banzais]

[higekiri just blinks]

You haven't tried to do anything like that yet, have you?

[leggymaru]

[It's his turn to blink.

And then he laughs, leaning forward to press their foreheads together.]

No. I wasn't given any secrets. Not here. The only secret orders I have is the ones our master gave us back home.

[banzais]

[ah -

higekiri just smiles at that, letting his arms loop around hiza's shoulders to keep him there]

Then it is the same for me.

But the people who have told me their secrets made it rather difficult - there are consequences if they are to say what they are able to do directly. I believe that um... Escha only told me of her own volition because she was about to meet her end - but even Nightbeak could not tell me unless I asked and gave him my suspicions as to why. But apparently he is able to receive items that are clues in exchange for completing tasks.

I have a theory that Kagachi also possesses an ability - but he could not confirm since I did not have enough grounding evidence. I also have a feeling that Nikori holds one too, but I still need to speak with him in order to determine more about it.

Please remember all that for me.

[His listening is peak attentiveness, and his eyes don't flutter or leave Higekiri's until finished. Kagachi, Nightwing, and Nikkari. He's not sure what exactly he'd be able to do with this aside from pester them to help.

But even then, he thinks Dick and Kagachi especially would refuse him.]

So there are more people still that I need to find - presumably as many as nine others now. I suspect that Junpei may be one as well, but I need to ask him.

For the thirteen. [Well.] Twelve now.

[He nods like he understands, or he's agreeing.] Please be careful searching, elder brother. Perhaps one of the people with special orders is looking for others to get rid of them, or stop them. [He worries forever, okay.]

I'll help you search, too.

I'd appreciate it. There are a few others I suspect... but apparently we need some fairly grounded suspicions in order for them to be able to open up to us.

Like with Nightwing-san... [Suddenly, he gives a gentle start of recognition, eyes lifting.] Elder brother...

Nikkari-san... [His brows furrow.] When I sent Prompto-san a message, I gave it to Carlos-san to deliver. But... When I received a message from Prompto-san in return, Nikkari-san is the one who delivered it to me. He said he couldn't tell me how he received it, but he swore on his sword it was from Prompto-san.

I don't feel as if he was lying. The message seemed like one Prompto-san would send me.

[banzais]

[ . . . higekiri can't help but manage a small laugh at that]

They've made him the messenger of the departed...? Ah, how fitting.

[cute... and then he just pauses as he tilts his head]

You were able to talk to your friend...? I'm relieved. You've missed him, haven't you?

[he won't remember prompto's name literally ever but he at least watches hiza enough to know]

[Which is why he didn't even question it? Nikkari, speaking to ghosts? It's fine obviously.]

Mm. The more the ship opens up to us, the more I miss Prompto-san's company. If only because I think he would have enjoyed what is here. [His eyes lower.] He hadn't ever seen a horse. I wanted to show him, but was unable.
