[i hope everyone thinks they've banged but it's just cute brotherly things

Hizamaru can't exactly dunk himself, so he leans forward and hangs his head, cupping water and hefting it up to pour it continuously over his head until it's wet. He pushes it all back when he straightens up again and is still for Higekiri.]

That's worrying, elder brother. I don't like it at all. I trust you more than anyone. I don't want... to not trust you. And Junpei-san, and Prompto-san... And our comrades... It wouldn't feel right to not trust our friends.

We're supposed to work together.

[what a good little brother - but higekiri accepts that!! he runs the product through hizamaru's hair, letting its suds up and amusing himself with all the bubbles. he might give hizamaru a mohawk made out of bubbles? it's fine, this is brotherly bonding time.]

Mm... That would be nice - wouldn't it? Though I suppose this is similar to how others had to see through espionage and betrayal during times of war...

[a soft hum]

At the very least, I won't betray you if I have any choice in the matter. The same for the allies that we've made here. Perhaps the demon will have tells in their behavior so that we can know that it is no longer 'us' in our own bodies.

[Mohawk, ballroom slick-back, whatever. Hizamaru doesn't care. He's all warm and flowery from the attention, plus it feels good to have his hair and scalp played with.]

Don't worry, elder brother. I won't betray you either. We'll always be brothers--we'll know. If there's a demon pretending to be you, I would be able to tell. Or if it had possessed your body, I would know it wasn't you.

[He drops his head back a bit to peer at Higekiri. He grins just slightly, and then he drops himself heavily back onto Higekiri so his weight it smooshing.]

Oof.

[he manages a soft exhale with the shift in the weight - but he still manages to catch his brother, letting his arms slip around his shoulders even as he blows gently on his bubble mohawk, making some of them float right back down onto the surface of the water.]

I'd like it if it were that simple...

[he'll be optimistic but also - he wonders if it will be? at the very least... he hums softly, thoughtfully]

But I suppose we will always find our way to each other's side. And that will be the testament if we are demons or otherwise.

[This makes him frown, even if his eyes watch the poor mohawk bubbles land and pop on the surface of the water.]

I won't let any demons possess you, elder brother. I promise. We will protect the humans together, and we'll find a way to return everyone to their times. Us, too.

Even if we don't understand why we were put on this mission with our comrades, I'm sure the master would be proud of us.

[his little brother is so sincere... higekiri manages a small smile at that, apparently satisfied with that answer. he guides hizamaru to lean back against him some more, tilting his head - so that it's easier for higekiri to lean over and press a kiss to his forehead

and then scooping up handfuls of water to was his hair out]
