[Junpei may have believed he had escaped swords for just long enough to breathe, but he is very wrong.
Because here is a sword, but it isn't the blonde one of the usual pair, it's the green-haired puppy this time around. He's just going to knock on Junpei's threesome door, whether or not Junpei happens to be inside or not.]
[Junpei is inside! Junpei is hiding probably but Junpei is inside and so he ventures to the door.
It's only because it's Hizamaru that he bothers, frankly. The puppy-sword is on his "good" side and it makes it easier to let his curiosity get the best of him. Soooo...opening the door! Hello.]
Hizamaru. [It's a kind of calm greeting, a "hello" and a "what's up" all at once.] Need something? [Did you lose your brother again?]
[Hizamaru gives him a small flash of a smile in greeting, but then it fades slightly with something heavier.]
I'm sorry to interrupt. My elder brother instructed me to come talk to you. About... the room you all found. Elder brother... ah, sometimes has difficulty remembering things.
[Hello, Jumpy-chan. Hizamaru spends some time trying to track down dear Jumpy, so hopefully he'll find him wherever he happens to be?]
Junpei-san!
[He's at least not in an unfortunate shirt he had been in previous. The only light, comfortable thing in the cursed boutique is a cardigan vest, but... it's mesh. He's still wearing it. There's at least pants and boots? It's fine.]
[This is just another day where Junpei realizes the genjis are unfairly pretty, it's fine. Junpei's out here doing what Junpeis do (wandering aimlessly and lamenting being stuck), but upon hearing his name he turns and actually grins.]
Hizamaru. Hey. [This vest is a lot but it's fine he'll roll right past it.] Everything okay?
[It's like "how are you" without actually asking but his posture seems to relax a little. He's comfortable enough with him.]
[Aside from the fact when he gets closer to Junpei, there are soft red whelps under the mesh spilling behind his shoulders. And there's a few bite marks low on his neck. He doesn't seem bothered?
[He heads up to the deck with the mind of keeping an eye on Dcom, but by the time he gets there he finds someone else watching the horizon.
He hadn't had a chance to follow up with Hizamaru the day before, and part of him wanted to give the sword some space. He figured others would crowd him, and Higekiri would take care of him, but now it seems there's no more stalling.]
...hey Hizamaru. [And he'll step forward to join him and see what his sword eyes see.]
[When he hears someone come up, he turns his head a little to peer over his shoulder. He waits until Junpei gets up beside him before he looks fully.]
Hello, Junpei-san.
[His head turns back out over the water. There's a farm in the distance. Nothing really gives it away except for the word CHOCOBO, and Hizamaru remembers who told him about those.]
[He squints past the horizon to see where he's talking about.]
Is that...a farm? [What the fuck is a farm doing out there? He has no idea what a chocobo is or what Hizamaru knows about it.] Do you recognize either one?
I haven't ever seen such a place, but... [His voice lowers gently.] Prompto-san told me they have a beast called a chocobo. It looks like... a chicken, I suppose, but it is as big as a horse. He said you can ride them.
He liked them. He had a picture of one on his camera.
[He's maybe returning the favor. Junpei has been good to him, and he's concerned... especially after what his brother had told him near the beginning. Also, some things are still on his mind, but there's a time and place for that.]
Junpei-san?
[He doesn't approach, but he does gently call out to let Junpei know it's him. It's a question. Does Junpei want him to go away?]
[He's really not in the best of moods for a variety of reasons, but he stops walking along the hall of one of the basements when he hears Hizamaru. He looks over his shoulder, giving him an unreadable look as he nods in greeting.]
Hey. [His voice sounds a little off even if his expression is the same as ever.] You feeling better?
I'm glad to hear it. [There's a quiet sort of grin. He'd rather not have Hizamaru continue dying of poison so that's good.]
...this is one of those things about humanity that's complicated, I think. An innocent girl tries to defend herself, and we have to punish her. It doesn't make sense, does it?
[He's patient after the trial in case Junpei has to talk to others before everyone leaves. But he does let Junpei know to meet him in the aquarium if their silly drinking meetings are still on.
So that is where he'll be when Junpei comes; particularly, he's in the blacklight section housing the jellyfish and the seahorses. Everything is dim and colorful, bioluminescent.
Including, strangely, his golden eyes when he turns to look.]
[At the end of the day, he'll always make time for Hizamaru. He wraps his other meetings and makes his way down to the basement, wandering into the room and only slightly alarmed by the soft glow around him.
Still...he offers a very small smile and in his hand is the bottle of sake as promised. Two glasses are in his other hand.]
...it's kind of cool down here, isn't it? Nice pick.
[His fanged teeth stand out under the blacklight when he grins a bit, and then it softens into something fond.]
I like it the best. It's quiet and calm, but very interesting. It reminds me of Prompto-san, too. [That sounds macabre considering Prompto died here, so:] We came here together when we were exploring the first week.
[He motions to one of the little seats off to the side. They can sit.]
[Junpei's mostly dead asleep, but at some point he'd left the door open so any damn soul who isn't Dick could just open the door. But he hears a familiar voice and he forces himself to sit up, making a face of discomfort as his muscles protest. He's shuffling to the door though and he's in loose sleep pants he found buried deep in the boutique and a red flannel shirt, but he only looks partially dead inside when he sees Hizamaru.]
Hiza. [Too exhausted to even address him properly, but he gives a half-smile in response. The tone's low and a little scratchy like he just woke up.] What's up?
[Well, almost immediately he looks pretty worried by Junpei's state. It's worse seeing it than it is hearing about it. His hand lifts a bit, and then the fingers curl into a withheld fist. Same hat, tho.]
Junpei-san... [WAH!!] I'm... Forgive me, I didn't mean to wake you. Please go back to sleep so you can rest.
[Eventually Junpei makes his way to the panthouse jail, entering the room with the intent of seeing Hizamaru. As promised, he does have a bottle of bourbon but he's not exactly sharing either. Once the door closes though, he's going to give Hizamarua once-over before leaning against it.]
[He's luckily not lounging seductively on the jed. Not yet anyway. Instead, he's seated on the god-awful jouch with one leg over the other. Junpei isn't sharing or coming in, but the demon gives him a too-wide smile anyway.]
Very. Wasn't it magnificent? So many people fell for it.

Junpei-san! It's me, Hizamaru. Higekiri's brother.

I wanted to see how you were doing, Junpei-san.

I think I'm okay. [Think, because this is still one hell of a cruise he doesn't want to be on, but he's alive so that's something.] Keeping busy?
[Look he'll just...ask in the most subtle way possible, that shirt does not hide much!!]
